Dr. Varinder Parmar did residency in psychiatry at Queen’s University in Kingston. He further advanced his education by completing a clinical research fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. Dr. Parmar is currently serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of British Columbia and also holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Departments of Family Medicine and Psychiatry at Queen’s University in Canada. He holds several certifications and licenses including Diplomate of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for Sleep Medicine (DRCPSC) and is an independent licensed practitioner in the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia and Ontario. Dr. Parmar currently serves as an attending psychiatrist at Surrey Memorial Hospital and work with sleep clinic in Surrey, BC and Oshawa, ON.
